Not satisified that I would ever see the nurse in any reasonable timeframe, I asked the woman standing at the desk to tell me who the nurse supervisor was. It’s amazing to me that the woman standing at the desk never offered to address my need herself. When The woman’s role as a nurse manager had been discovered, she then asked what I needed. I said a shower to which the nurse manager said there was a schedule that needed to be adhered to. Turns out the schedule indicated she should have been bathed already – and hadn’t. The care my mother is getting at Coronado is of no value.
Each day I had to fight with the nurse about calling the drug out and I ended up taking an old drug. It didn’t hurt me or anything, but it was a drug I was not currently taking. The food was average and they did not do a good job of giving you what you asked for. No problems with the building or the outside though. My dad stayed at Brookdale Willowbrook.

One morning a breakfast tray was brought and she could not eat the food, yet the tray remained in the room all day. That night I took it to the lunch room. The alarms are constantly sounding with no response.
They also got a good ratio of nurses to residents. They’re not new, but the upkeep is done very well. I think they are trying; his case is difficult. On Monday I’m going to a meeting with the team and we’re going to review how it’s been going and what’s the care ahead. The physical is beautiful and luxurious.

The last incident was when she had a huge hematoma on her forward with serious bruising all over her face and down her neck. They didn't file an incident report with the state until they knew I filed a complaint. Unfortunately our laws allow them to file it days after it happens as long as it is done before the investigator shows up.
Relatives describe the facility as clean, and they highlight its great location. They are impressed by the helpful and informative staff who assist residents and explain procedures and everyday life to their families. The dining options are praised thanks to the hot buffet with a variety of delicious choices. Friends and relatives also note the activities such as dominoes, card games and music programs, as well as the transportation to take residents shopping.

My father is 79 years old, cannot feed himself, cannot go to the bathroom by himself and sometimes does not know what the day is! But the Colonnades staff failed at doing their jobs and that is to take CARE of the patient, which is my father! My wife spent six weeks in this facility because her legs hurt so bad, she couldn't walk. The day before we were discharged, the doctor there looked at her legs for the first time.
This facility was one of the worst I have ever experienced. The horror you hear each day regarding these types of facilities is coming to life for my family member who stayed for rehabilitation. The staff did not even provide the minimum of constant care required. Not even senior management, such as assistant nursing directors, knew who to perform essential nursing functions correctly. The staff finally got tired of being held accountable to where they started not performing actions correctly and made my loved ones fear for their own life. Thank god I was able to get them out of there quickly.
They may also make nursing home care more attainable and easier to understand once it is needed. San Antonio aligns closely with Victoria and its $5,353 monthly average. San Antonio is nearly $300 less expensive than Houston, and the gap between San Antonio and the pricier city of Laredo is even larger at over $600 more per month.
My mother-in-law was at Treemont Health Care Center. When they had her in a semi-private room, it was too crowded and just too close. The staff was friendly, but when I would ask for specific information, they would not give me a lot of information that I was asking for. She was in kind of endstage Alzheimer’s.
It was very clean, the rooms were nice, and she had a wonderful roommate. Everyone from admissions to the nursing staff have exhibited the utmost professionalism and shown tremendous kindness throughout my mom’s time here. They have also provided my family with much needed guidance and helped us make well informed decisions for my mom’s care. My husband was at San Antonio Wellness and Rehab for a week.
The average Abilene nursing home charges $4,380 per month for a semiprivate room. In the United States as a whole, the corresponding figure is $7,756, per the Genworth 2020 Cost of Care Survey. My brother is currently in Stonebrook Manor At Broadway.
The Forum At Memorial Woods feels like every person who works there really sincerely cares about our family. It’s not the most beautiful place, but it certainly is the most homey. All of the staff members are good and I’ve seen people go out of their way to be kind. They go a long way not only to help the person in rehab, but to help the family as well. We’ve been able to provide a lot of ancillary care because they have instructed us and we’re able to give my dad full time rehab.
Therapy room was really big and I was informed of how financials work. I left feeling very knowledgeable and comfortable. I will not hesitate to put my brother here at Hunters Pond. The staff vacillates between annoyed, arrogant, uncaring and inattentive. An insurance payment from TWO YEARS earlier that was 'not accurate'. I have been in contact with the office for three months now - at first they were unaware that the insurance provider had changed.
This is more expensive than the state average of $5,019 per month. Nursing home care in Houston costs $2,129 less than the national average of $7,756, making it a good option financially for those looking at nursing home care. The neighboring cities of Dallas, Austin and San Antonio all have lower average monthly costs for nursing home care than Houston.
